Jesus is dead. He is buried in a tomb. Hope seems lost. But tomorrow is Easter! Your traditions will look different, but the celebration of Jesus rising from the dead and giving us hope will always be the same!
God did not tell us…IF you have many kinds troubles in this life…he said WHEN you have many kinds of troubles…troubles are part of the our lives. When life is hard, look where Jesus looked…He looked to the future. In Mark 14:62 it says: “You will see the Son of Man seated in the place of power at God’s right hand and coming on the clouds of heaven”.
While Jesus was facing death, His eyes were on Heaven.
The words in Philippians 2:6-11 are my rock and they can be yours too. These verses are awesome to memorize and keep in your heart. They are humbling. They are powerful.
Who being in the very nature of God, did not consider
equality with God something to be grasped.
Rather he made himself nothing, took on the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself and became obedient to death,
even death on a cross.
Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every other name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord
to the glory of God the Father.
